Salvi actively collaborates with technical schools and universities.

The rector of the "Politecnico di Milano" university, Professor Ferruccio Resta, visiting Salvi on September 8, highlighted this close collaboration established over 50 years ago and spoke of the joint research carried out in the company's laboratories.

These have led to a better understanding of vibration phenomena on high-voltage power lines.

Indeed, for each transmission line, a specific study is carried out, considering that the assessment must be made on the whole system.

The common approach enables us to carry out a complete project rather than just develop a high-performance product.

A software package has been developed for the calculations of the various vibration studies, and regularly improved by the Mechanical Department of the Politecnico di Milano University.

This enabled a number of developments to be carried out.
